The composition, properties and maintenance of products

WOOL
The main raw material is sheep wool. The wool perfectly retains warmth, repels moisture and allows the body to breathe. The disadvantage of wool is that it wrinkles easily. Therefore, wool is often blended with synthetic fibres to make it stronger and prevent from wrinkling.
Maintenance: wool must be washed in cool water only, without wringing. It must be placed to dry horizontally, because wet wool is three times heavier than when it is dry; therefore, the garment may lose its shape. It must be ironed through a damp cloth.

COTTON
The cotton fibres are produced from cotton flowers. Cotton absorbs moisture, allows the body to breathe and is strong.
Maintenance: Cotton fabric withstands high washing temperatures; therefore, the attention should be paid to the intensity of colour and other fibres added to the fabric when choosing the washing temperature.
VISCOSE
Viscose is a natural fiber, chemically derived from cellulose. It is a light fibre, which absorbs moisture well and gives a luxurious appearance to the garment. Nevertheless, viscose is not a very strong fiber; therefore, it requires careful maintenance and tends to stretch.
Maintenance: Viscose garments must be well but carefully wrung and be placed to dry horizontally. Do not pre-soak before washing and do not wash in high temperatures.

POLYESTER
Polyester is a chemical fibre. It is abrasion-resistant, almost does not wrinkle, is strong and does not absorb moisture; therefore, it dries quickly. Polyester is usually blended with wool, cotton and linen, which gives the fabric strength and prevents it from wrinkling.
Maintenance: polyester garments are easy to care for. Clothes with a high percentage of polyester must be protected from heat and direct sunlight. In addition, it is necessary to check with the garment label for ironing instructions.
POLYAMID
Polyamide is a synthetic fibre and is highly resistant to abrasion (approximately 10 times more than cotton and 20 times more than wool). Its main advantages: it does not wrinkle, is flexible and strong. On the other hand, it produces static electricity, is very susceptible to light and fades quickly. Polyamide is mostly used as a supplement to natural fibers. It gives the garment strength and prolongs its life.
Maintenance: Polyamid must not be bleached and must be ironed through a cloth only.
ELASTANE
This chemical fibre is used to produce socks and underwear. Elastane is capable of stretching up to 500% of its initial state and then fully returning back. Fabrics, containing 1-15% of elastane, are strong, much easier to care for and they wrinkle much less.
Maintenance: When exposed to sweat, elastane loses its elasticity; therefore, it is not recommended to keep dirty clothes unwashed for a long time.
POLYURETHANE
It is a synthetic fibre, only recently introduced in textiles production. It makes the fabric stronger. The fibre is impervious to air and moisture.
Maintenance: Since polyurethane is mainly used in coating fabrics, the clothes containing polyurethane must be dry-cleaned.
POLYACRYLE
It is a synthetic fiber, characterized by durability and elasticity. It does not wrinkle and does not absorb moisture, thus allowing clothes to last longer.
Maintenance: Since clothes usually contain only a very small percentage of polyacryle, the maintenance depends on other components of the fabric.
ACETATE
The fiber (a synthetic substitute for viscose) is chemically produced from cellulose and looks like silk. The fiber does not absorb moisture, does not wrinkle much and flows nicely but is not very strong. It is mostly used to produce lining fabric.
Maintenance: Since the fiber is not very strong, a careful maintenance is required, especially when cleaning with chemicals. Washing temperature should not exceed 30-40 degrees and ironing temperature should be less than 110 degrees.
